Restoration of The
Gardens
(1997)
In 1997 a group
known as The Friends of Townhill Park House Gardens was set up to restore
the gardens. Although they had been maintained during the years of occupancy
by the Middlesex school and the Merchant Navy cadets, when the house used
as a conference centre the gardens received minimal care and gradually
became derelict.
The
pergola in 1992
This
was restored by Hampshire County Council before the sale of the property.
