Townhill Park House Gardens
and The Friends of the Gardens

Townhill Park House and Gardens are both Grade II Listed buildings. The mansion was built in 1912 for Louis Montagu, second Baron Swaythling. The beautiful gardens were planned by Gertrude Jekyll, one of England 's most influential garden designers, and display many of her classic architectural features.

Since the sale of the estate in 1948, Townhill Park has had several institutional owners and became the home of The Gregg School in 1994. In recent years the gardens had fallen into a state dereliction but have been restored by volunteers of The Friends of Townhill Park House Gardens.

The gardens are open to the public on four occasions during the year.

As always we hope the daffodils will be in bloom but come along anyway and enjoy a cup of tea and piece of cake

Meridian Winds will again play for us

Sunday September 14th 2pm to 5pm

This is Heritage Day and the house will also be open for guided tours

Admission is free, and there is plenty of free parking.

Refreshments are available.

There is partial access for Disable People.
